XFactor Betting GuideThe X-Factor is a TV talent show and was launched in 2004 and is produced by talkback THAMES and Simon Cowell's production company SYCO tv and it has succeeded in becoming more popular than its predecessor Pop Idol which was also hosted by Cowell.  It is currently being shown on ITV1, make sure you look at the X Factor news page for the latest show developments.

The premise of the show is that members of the general public audition under one of the chosen categories in front of the celebrity judges panel; the panel is made up of music moguls and members of the entertainment industry.  If chosen the contestants progress to the next stage of auditions and then if the judges still want them they get sent to "boot camp" where they are mentored by the judge assigned to their category.

There are five main stages to The X Factor competition, the judges do not see all 200,000 contestants the first wave is done by the shows producers who decide who would be "good TV".

  • Stage 4: Visits to judges' houses
  • Stage 5: Live shows (Finals)

XFactor Betting GuideFor X Factor 2007 over 200,000 contestants auditioned for the chance of winning the £1,000,000 recording contract and the chance to be managed by Simon Cowell or Louis Walsh.  It is watched on ITV1 by over 12 million viewers each week and it also has a companions show called X Factor Xtra which is shown immediately after the main show on ITV 2.  To date there have been four X Factor Winners; they are Steve Bronstein, Shayne Ward, Leona Lewis and Leon Jackson.  As the show is shown in October and November the winner’s debut single is released just in time for the lucrative Christmas market and the hallowed Christmas number one single slot.
