Cheryl Cole
Cheryl Tweedy as she was originally known before her marriage to footballer Ashley Cole was cast into the limelight when she entered the ITV1 talent show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, she was the first member of the group that would become Girls Aloud.
Girls Aloud
Of all the acts from reality shows such as Popstars and The X Factor Girls aloud have had the most UK based success and the longest career, to date they have had five albums released which have all had respectable chart entries.

The X Factor
Cheryl was hand picked by Simon Cowell to be the replacement for the departing judge Sharon Osbourne and has be see on our screens since August 2008.
Cheryl's public profile has grown hand in hand with her X Factor success. Reknown for her compassion and plain speaking, she has already been winning judge on her two outings. She succeeded with Alexandra Burke and Joe McElderry and looked for a hattrick in 2010, after being sacked from the US version of the X Factor, she is no longer a judge on the UK version
