Cheryl Cole
Cheryl Tweedy as she was originally known before her marriage to footballer Ashley Cole was cast into the limelight when she entered the ITV1 talent show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, she was the first member of the group that would become Girls Aloud.
Girls Aloud
Of all the acts from reality shows such as Popstars and The X Factor Girls aloud have had the most UK based success and the longest career, to date they have had five albums released which have all had respectable chart entries.

They have also released 18 singles all of which have reached the top 10.
The X Factor
Cheryl was hand picked by Simon Cowell to be the replacement for the departing judge Sharon Osbourne and will be see on our screens from August 2008 onwards where we will get to see Cheryl's insight and mentoring as she too has been in the same position as the contestants from when she was auditioning for Pop Stars: The Rivals.
