This was the 2009 X Factor News

Having battled with accusations of arrogance and smugness Danyl battled through to the semi finals as the reult of some excellent vocals, but whilst out performing Olly again and always being chivalrous and polite, Olly 's character has certainly been embraced by the public and Danyl was unable to leap the final hurdle and get into the final.

Michael Jackson week saw Stacey don a cabaret type costume and routine which took her out of her comfort zone but her second song was rousing enough to give her a good chance of going through which she did.

Olly, who took pole position over Joe a couple of weeks ago seems to have run out of steam, turning in competent performances but if he has peaked now will find it impossible to catch Joe up and may find himself in third place.  It seems entirely likely that in the same way as JLS found fame and fortune as runners up last year that Olly could well find a niche ready for him in the record market,

Joe matures vocally with every song, precision tuning now accompanied with authenticity connects him with the audience in a magnetic fashion which seems unlikely to be usurped.

Having had oneof the strongest groups in many years Mr Cowell must feel disgruntled that he is unliely to win but surely that blow will be buffered by the extraordinary viewing figures this year.  The "vile" twins as he christened themin the auditions have given Simon Cowell an awfullot to be smug about.
