Sharon Osbourne
Sharon Osbourne is the wife of hard rocker Ozzy Osbourne, she came into the public eye by appearing in the MTV reality tv show The Osbournes which gave viewers an insight into the daily life of her family. Prior to her new found fame she was (and still is) the manager for some of the biggest bands in music including her own husband Ozzy Osbourne as well as The Smashing Pumpkins, Gary Moore and Coal Chamber.
The X Factor
Sharon joined The X Factor for its launch in 2004, for her first year she was mentoring the 16 to 24, one of her acts Tabby Callaghan managed to finish in third place. For The X Factor 2005 she mentored the 25 and over’s with her act Andy Abraham placing second. The following years X Factor saw her again with the 25 and over’s, her best placed act this year was Ben Mills again in third place.
Her final stint on X Factor saw Sharon looking after the new category of Girls, this was Sharon’s worst stint of mentoring, as all of her acts were voted out half way through the competition. During this fourth series Sharon had many on and off air scraps with fellow judges Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh which contributed in Simon Cowells decision to replace her with Cheryl Cole for X Factor 2008.
